"Wine topped up and barbeque lit"

I was born in 1946 in Italy, by the Adriatic coast. I was eight when I first came to this country. My father came here for work at the brickyard under contract for four years. He was hoping to go back but never did. And here we are now nearly fifty years down the road! Nobody really had any idea where they were going; they were just brought here to work. Even up until a few years ago my dad still didn't speak English.
