Bedford Blessings is an off-shoot of Fusion Youth Singing for Women and Children to engage in Muslim devotional singing (Nats and Nasheeds). The sessions are led by vocal coach, Pooja Gupta, who is Hindu, and supported by two Christian volunteers. The project allows women and children to explore their faith and make new friends. They have already performed alongside Ulfa Arts in Birmingham and to a sell-out crowd at Queens Park Community Centre. In line with religious and cultural sensitivities, most of their performances are to women-only auduences. The project is supported by Bedford Charity and All Saints Parish Church. Sessions take place on Fridays 6-7.30pm in Queen's Park Community Centre and cost 50p per person.
