Queen's Park Youth Cricket started in January 2006 under the leadership of Karamat Hussain with support from the Rev'd Jay MacLeod. We run Saturday afternoon training sessions in partnership with Biddenham Upper School and Sports College and Westfield Middle School who provide our training and match facilities.

The club is sponsored by the mosque and the church which provide most of the volunteer coaches. The club helps children become better players but also better people. It brings players, parents and coaches together across lines of culture, race and religion.
We currently have 6 teams that play competitively in the Bedfordshire County and Development Youth Leagues:
Under 10's
Under 12's
Under 14's A and B
Under 16's
Under 12's girls

We are hoping to create B sides for the Under 10's and Under 12's in 2008.
Last season saw the Under 14's win the Development League, with the Under 16's narrowly missing out when rain stopped play many times! They were unbeaten throughout the season - a fantastic achievement!
Training sessions commence January 2008. For more information please contact Karamat Hussain on 01234 290393 or email karrots63@hotmail.com or go to www.qpycc.co.uk
There were also opportunities for girls to participate when an Under 12's Girls team entered the County Development League under the guidance of Wendy Bedeau, one of the club's most committed and enthusiastic coaches with the help of Neslyn Pearson. The pair also piloted girls only training sessions at Westfield Middle School. These sessions allow girls to train in a female environment that is culturally appropriate. Sessions re-start early spring 2008. For more information please contact Neslyn Pearson on 01234 290393 or email neslyn.pearson@ntlbusiness.com
